A recent comment by Sarah Abram on my article “White Christians & MAGA The Cult” contained several points I wanted to address. Abram’s argued,

Christianity is very much misunderstood. It’s not simple at all. It requires selflessness to deny one’s feelings and physical desires for the good of others.

I disagree. Christianity is not at all misunderstood. It is in fact easy to understand if you turn off your imagination and critical thinking skills and wholesale buy the narrative:

A few thousand years ago, an omnipotent being created the universe with a single planet to hold all life, most importantly, human life, which He determined them superior, gifting His people dominion over all creatures, but then, grew tired of their evil ways and destroyed most of them with a great flood since they decided to ignore His Word, yet unsatisfied, He later immaculately impregnated a married woman with his only son who matured into a religious leader performing miracles (because he was the son of God, of course), but spreading the Good News would not suffice, and he had to be murdered for making the blind see and curing the diseased because the infinite wisdom of his father (God) determined painful crucifixion the only means to cure the world of sin.

Believing this story, or at least believing you believe this story, trains a person in mental gymnastics that allows vaulting from one incongruous thought to the next, never considering how this mythology requires “selflessness to deny one’s feelings and physical desires for the good of others”, and more importantly, why so many Christians act in complete contradiction of that principle?

Perhaps they have not studied enough the simple yet contrarian prose called the Bible, and all its many biblical brands claiming the truth. This could not possibly mean bibles are as meaningful as silly putty in the hands of a believer applying scripture to prove whatever they wish to believe:

Capital punishment — an eye for an eye.
Capital punishment — turn the other cheek.
Capital punishment — thou shalt not kill.

No, this cannot be correct! The Word of God must hold a deeper meaning!

Perhaps it is as Sarah Abram claims, “The majority of people who identify as Christian have never perused the truth that is revealed supernaturally.” This makes perfect sense since magic is the only thing that can align scriptures’ uneven bars. Yes, magic is surely needed to make sense of the book that demands everyone love thy brother but only certain ones who properly use their penises and vaginas.

In the minds of the believers, these thoughts allow one Christian to be pro-death and another pro-life. Scripture instills the Christian mind with the truth about racism: morally correct or incorrect — because it’s in the Bible! This is the reason Christians can claim or deny authenticity of other Christians despite all of them using nearly the same Book and belief system. Trapped in culture of flimsy morality, they see any divergence from their truth as the path to doom:

It is a self-righteous cage claiming anything outside is evil. If you disagree with Christianity, you are slandering Christians and hating them. They avoid “hypocrisy, jealousy, and ignorance of others”, for that could “taint” their “being”! So they ignore millions of Christians, (they deemed inauthentic), allowing them to run roughshod over civil rights, the Constitution, and individual rights in an effort to harm the most at-risk and least powerful groups with their loosely-conceived, scripture-backed reasons for hate.

To say Christianity is a recursive ignorance is too kind.

Let’s be clear: Christians are some of the most immoral people on the planet because their beliefs allow them to believe anything, and at the same time, excuses them from any accountability for their religion. Nothing is more repugnant than a person claiming spiritual and moral enlightenment while ignoring the evil produced by their religion.

If a belief is so malleable as to mean anything, then it means nothing.

What an astounding, well-formed rebuttal distilled from a keen religious mind. It is as though you have peered directly into my thoughts and uncovered my Achilles heel of having confused my politics with my religious views. How you follow that observation by questioning my understanding of “some conservative Christians” not representing all of you, befuddles me. Having cracked the Socratic method whip, I truly feel beaten by the obvious.

The Christian mind must indeed be a tormented place to daily inhabit where one states the obvious while simultaneously believing themselves wise and perceptive. If not torment for Christians, most certainly that cognitive void tortures me, like an ass-backward Sisyphus racing downhill to help the Christo-Mentally Deficient ascend critical thought’s slope. Literally, I toss a coin to choose between the least stupid emails to answer.

Christianity is a political view!

I cannot say this with more clarity. What kind of bonehead, dumbass believes Christianity is separate from politics, especially in the US? Every major sect of Christianity in the US supports specific laws based on religious belief, i.e., abortion bans, healthcare policies, education, limiting civil rights where religion is concerned, etc. Wherever there is a dilemma or choice for public policy, there is a bunch of dumb Christians with a stupid opinion.

Christians are involved in almost every aspect of government policy and politics because it is a political body as well as a religion. Perhaps you don’t see this, not solely for being stupid, but because you are one of those liberal Christians who believe “if everyone followed Jesus the world would be great!” Or maybe you are one of those progressive Christians who deny the millions (the majority) of other Christians in the claim, “They are not real Christians.” Maybe you are a conservative or Republican but don’t agree with the MAGAs and only vote for conservatives who appear sane. Maybe you sit around in an LGBTQIA-friendly church holding hands and loving Jesus, wondering how so many of your brothers and sisters turned into MAGAs. If you are any of these folks, you believe these ideas because you are an imbecile! Let me explain the depth of your Christian dumb so nothing is left to the imagination.

No matter how rational, conservative, liberal, or brilliant you perceive yourself, you prove yourself just as hypocritical and dumb as the MAGAs and even more nonsensical. By stating, “If I told you some conservative Christians don't represent all of us” you implicated yourself in a political belief system by considering yourself REPRESENTED POLITICALLY (“represent all of us). Perhaps “some” of you are not MAGAs, but clearly “that some”, according to you, belongs to another Christian political body since you are represented differently.

You cannot even discuss politics as a Christian without representing yourself as a political collective.

Not only have you contradicted yourself and proved that Christianity is a political ideology, but you crystallized the religion’s farce. When convenient, Christians are political, not political, liberal, progressive, conservative, authentic, fallible, infallible, ad infinitum. There is no reasoning with Christians because you cannot reason with foolishness embedded so deeply that hypocrisy becomes as natural as breathing.

You attack Christianity and call it a fraud, but you never state an alternative philosophy. What makes atheism so great? Is it believing you are in control or is it the lack of any moral framework that makes immoral living easy? Christianity provides stability and structure by giving society purpose, maybe that’s too difficult for you since you don’t value anything but yourself.

Dear Christian,
Indoctrination stole all intellectual wind and spiraled you in ignorance from the lofty, infallible worldview into the pit where humanity explodes into chaotic evil without Christianity. For without God, we are all lost, and assuming no great civilization ever existed or exists now without Christianity, begs the question: What is the alternative for Christians? Buddhism? Islam? Satanism? Only the Christian-infected mind sees life in such a grotesque polarization.

How truly ugly and limited is the Christian worldview!

Like all your brethren, you perceive the world through the crucifix lens that divides people into man and woman, black and white, successful and unsuccessful, right and wrong, communist and capitalist, good and bad, etc.

Never a thought wasted on exploration and study to discover life’s nuances. You, Christian, already possess the truth and need only fit the universe to your theology.

The Fable of the Two Christian Scholars

Once, there were two Christians who studied hard and paid many dollars to attend a well-known Christian University. After years of arduous learning, these students finally ascended the halls of higher education to be awarded PhDs in theology and philosophy: (the only subjects necessary for a God-fearing Christian!)

Upon graduation, these learned men celebrated their accomplishments by treating themselves to a five-star restaurant. There, amidst the murmur of diners, the clink of silverware, and the splash of wine into fine crystal, a polished, stately woman sitting at an adjacent table from the scholars suddenly stood, clasped her throat, and violently shook as she choked.

Seeing the woman in distress, the Christian scholars sprung from seats into action, with one dropping his pants and underwear to the floor as he bent over. The other Christian fell to his knees, grasped his schoolmate’s buttocks, and spread them apart, then firmly and, most diligently, licked his friend’s asshole.

Upon witnessing the scene, the choking woman ceased flailing, and wide-eyed in horror, she vomited, freeing the escargot lodged in her throat. The appetizer flung through the air, leaving her to fall into her seat, mortified yet grateful.

I know you’ve explained it, but I guess I am not getting how all Christians are guilty? I can see the fraud in the evangelists and politicians, but the average Christian believers don’t seem to be acting fraudulently??

You are not alone in your confusion. Understanding the complicity of Christians is difficult, further complicated by other factors such as geography, upbringing, etc. 

Imagine someone from a small town in Tennessee trying to grasp the Christian fraud after a lifetime of indoctrination to view Christians unrealistically. In Christian Pollution Polemics & Absurdities, authored by Terry Trueman and me, you will find several articles that explain this problem. I implore you to read that short book because you will receive a more detailed explanation than provided herein.

The Bait & Switch

The Christian fraud begins with Christianity’s misuse of philosophy. While debating and postulating God’s existence has a place, these discussions cannot be presented as plausible evidence since they only exist conceptually, meaning these proofs exist in the mind alone, not reality, and prove nothing. The problem stems from a layperson’s understanding of argument, which ignores and frequently treats God as though His proof were the only purpose of philosophy when logical inquiry provides a far more practical role in answering dilemmas of ethics, law, and many other fields. Christians, all theists, tend to argue God’s existence relying on solipsism, cosmological, and other conceptually-confined proofs.

The Christians perpetrate fraud when they present God and religion as factual, which is a form of bait and switch in which the Christian presents conceptually-based proofs, then declares God real based on nothing but ideas that might be possible.

Christianity’s fraud is pervasive.

No one raised in Christianity receives an alternative, and if left to Christians, no one, born Christian or not, would be allowed different perspectives. The majority of Christians prove their fraudulence by their voting and willingness to impose their absurd beliefs on others through laws and policies, such as overturning Roe v Wade, sex education, etc. In the face of contradictory facts that illustrate sex education and access to birth control help fight poverty and overpopulation, Christians would demand you follow their faith and do away with these measures.

Enforcing their religion reflects fraud because they claim Christianity is plausibly true and a practical means of solving social problems, clearly indicated by their willingness to codify it into law when it is neither plausible nor beneficial for solving social issues.

Either Christians are complete idiots (which I do not believe to be the case since they are functional in other ways), or they are complicit in the fraud. Whether conscious or unaware of their complicity, they are guilty of a pervasive fraud that undermines and threatens millions of people with oppression. Ignorance of the fraud does not exonerate nor keep Christians from promoting the deception. By allowing themselves to believe this far-fetched tale, they support a religion that gives birth to groups like the KKK, White Supremacists, Nazis, and many others. Merely believing in Christianity, no matter the sect or interpretation, Christians give credence to the religion, whether cult, mainstream, Mormon, or Evangelical. Their belief alone unifies Christians in fraud, which explains perfectly why they, in the majority, vote the same and share the same goals, regardless of orthodoxy in most cases.

…mainstream religions like Catholicism and Protestantism vote between 47% and 55% Republican, but the percentage jumps with white evangelicals to somewhere between 76% and 85%

…even if all the white evangelicals voted Republican, this alone would not be enough to win the Presidency since they only comprise one-quarter of all the voters.

…approximately half of the mainstream Christians voted for a party that increasingly aims at evangelical Christian nationalist voters…evangelicals tipped the numbers in favor of the majority of Christians voting Republican.

The Christian fraud ever deepens.

To Maintain a Fraud, Willing or Unwilling, You Must Lie!

There is a cost for placing faith in a fraudulent idea. Believing the earth is flat limits your understanding of science and nature. Similarly, Christians limit themselves to a fantasy that God sent his only son to die a horrible death for their sins, which makes absolutely no sense to anyone but a Christian who lives in this delusional world. Here, we see the Christian fraud grow in the believers’ need to warp reality to fit their illusion. The Christians, rather than looking at facts that contradict their belief, headlong push to legislate against things like birth control because if everyone strived to be like Jesus by not having premarital sex, there would be no need for abortion or contraception! Despite abstinence-only sex education’s glaring statistical failure, the bizarre Christian belief dictates this dream is an achievable reality. If you are willing to believe Jesus was born of virgin birth and died to save us from sin, well, why wouldn’t abstinence-only sex education work?

Born of misplaced faith in the implausible, Christian fraud grows into a recursive lie requiring consistent effort to maintain internally and externally, raising serious questions to how anyone ignores the modern world’s omnipresent media reflecting a contradictory reality.

The fraud deepens even further.

The Deliberate Nature of Christian Fraud

As we ponder the obvious contradictions that do little to jar the Christian mind, the maintenance and proliferation of such massive fraud reveal necessary premeditation and awareness to fuel the lie. Those Christian philosophers, academics, priests, and pastors must constantly reinforce ignorance in the Christian and use many tactics like speaking in jargon, always taking Christian arguments into the realm of philosophy (since that is the only place it is possible), and other more guerrilla rhetoric, like dropping comments across social media or any site where people can post freely. They post pithy sarcastic responses that shoot down entire articles, (often writing containing only the mildest implications for Christians,) by picking out extraneous points or no point at all! They plant these comment mines wherever they can stop Christians from reading anything too critical of their religion.

Perhaps Christians would be more honest if they stopped thinking of life as epic fiction. Just a thought.

These tactics work because fraudsters KNOW the Christian already believes the fraud, and these ignorance mines inflame bias, halting believers from straying into critical thought.

This is the internal and external fraud of Christianity that results from giving oneself to an implausible idea. Soon you will find recognition of the fraud pales in the awareness of those controlling Christianity: clergy, wealthy supporters, politicians, etc. They fully comprehend their religion’s absurdity, and their motivations to be complicit in the Christian fraud should frighten you.

They refused because they wanted only to know the sin of flesh with men. It is a temptation and a rebellion against God since they know what is right and choose to oppose Him. No person is born homosexual; it is a choice they make. They choose to rebel against God. Those who glorify the homosexual instead of their God reveal themselves to be fools.

“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” Romans 11:25

Once three Christian explorers crossed an unknown region of a jungle. The first Christian looked about as the villagers intently stared, and his friends cowered. Well, death is permanent, so whatever zug zug is might be bad, but at least I’ll survive. He looked to the Chief. “I’ll take the zug zug.”

The Chief howled, “Zug zug!” Grabbing the Christian by the back of his neck, he lifted and hurled the man into the dirt while pulling away his grass skirt with his other hand, releasing a python uncoiling into an erection. The Christian, seeing the approaching grinning Chief, grasped at the dirt, trying to crawl away, but the massive warrior was on him. With cheek smashed to the earth, the Christian howled in agony as the Chief pounded the man over and over and over. When finished, the savage Adonis tossed the Christian off to the side, where he curled in the dirt weeping.

The Chief, still ready, marched back to the second Christian as the natives shook weapons and bounced in jubilation. The second Christian pursed his lips, fought back a smile, and said, “Well, I guess I have no choice but to take the zug zug.”

The Chief again roared, “Zug zug!” Reaching for the second Christian, the Chief discovered the man already turned and poised on all fours, staring back coyly. “Ready!”

The Chief worked as the second Christian lamented, “Give it bitch!” So the Chief did for some time, and when finished, the Christian lay in blissful exhaustion in the dirt while natives cheered and waved weapons as servants brought their sweaty leader a coconut to replenish himself. After gulping and tossing the husk into the woods, the Chief stood before the third Christian, wanting more. “Death or zug zug?”

Filled with righteousness and disgust, the Christian declared, “I am a God-fearing man. Homosexuality is an abomination. Give me death!”

The Chief nodded and smiled, then brightened with anticipation as he thrust his chest to the sky, bellowing,

Once upon a time, in a galaxy not so far away, there existed a group of ancient aliens known as the Anunnaki. These extraterrestrials visited Earth thousands of years ago, shaping humanity's destiny, but, alas, their story was not as glamorous as some would believe.

In a remote corner of the internet, a man named Terry Trueman found himself immersed in the world of conspiracy truths. Terry, a self-educated expert on all things Anunnaki, spent his days poring over ancient texts, deciphering cryptic symbols, and connecting dots that didn't quite exist.

Yes, it was true that the Anunnaki herded meat cattle (humans) to farm their semen that tasted like caviar.

Terry firmly believed that the Anunnaki were responsible for everything from the creation of the pyramids to the invention of the cheeseburger (a byproduct of meat cattle). Convinced their influence still permeated every aspect of human society, from politics to fashion trends, Terry spoke the truth to the deaf ears of his fellow humans.

One fateful day while on an archeological dig near his pool in the backyard, convinced the Anunnaki once had a thriving subterranean city beneath his lawn, Terry unearthed an Anunnaki artifact—an ancient tablet. Filled with unreadable symbols, Terry set about decoding the message. Despite having no ancient language expertise, he translated the new Rosetta stone, but his joy disappeared as the message ominously stared back at Terry.

Beware the Christians who will make you crazy!

“No!” Terry reeled in shock, knowing Jesus was a wise man. So wise in fact that the Anunnaki and their enslaved humans crucified him for holding too much sagacity. Terry, though frightened by the warning from ancient aliens, fell to knees, praying to Christ for answers. Perhaps Jesus answered him, we’ll never know for sure, but Terry realized the clever ploy by the mischievous Anunnaki was meant to stop him from revealing the truth that these aliens had, and perhaps still, farm meat cattle and dine on the caviar-tasting semen of humans. Terry grinned in his realization of the trick, but then his face darkened in frustration realizing his quandary.

By uncovering the tablet, Terry proved the existence of the ancient aliens but now became a conspirator in their evil plot to make humans unbelievers, which somehow likely made them better herds for farming. With billions of lives on the line, Terry fell into a deep rumination and prayer lasting days until inspired by the solution that could only come from God.

Terry would use the tablet as proof of Anunnaki’s existence while exposing their true intentions!

“I will prove the Anunnaki are malevolent by proving that semen tastes like caviar! Then the world will know the aliens are farming meat cattle and Jesus is our only hope!”

Terry immediately went to work, immersing himself in endless porn that he knew Jesus would approve of since he hooked up with Mary Magdalene and the church buried the truth that the Illuminati guarded for generations, just like that Tom Hanks movie. Little did most people know that Churches were in cahoots with the Anunnaki and knew all about meat cattle farming and the breeding facilities run by the lizard people in their subterranean cities. Terry’s eyes rolled back in his head as he murmured, “We’ll show those caviar-semen-swallowing aliens and pastors, priests, and churchgoers the truth!”

Two days later, an exhausted Terry exited his home holding a milk carton filled with his manhood elixir of truth and marched, at random, to one of his neighbor's homes.

“Oh, hi, Terry, how can I help you?” the elderly woman asked.

Terry proudly held up his carton. “Ms. Littleton, I have just finished preparing a new drink, and I want you to taste this exotic treat and tell me what you think.”

Her face brightened. “That sounds like fun!”

Terry followed his neighbor into her home and there in her kitchen she placed a glass on the counter and Terry began pouring his truth into the glassware.

The woman’s eyes widened. “Oh, my. It is a bit thick. Should I stir it first?”

“Sure.” Terry shrugged as he placed the carton on the kitchen table.

She stirred his fluid vigorously then lifted the glass to lips, drinking deeply. “Ew! That’s salty.”

Terry pointed at the glass. “Would you say “fishy” tasting?

She held the glass before her eyes and nodded. “Yes.” Then, as though all the pieces of fate’s puzzle fell perfectly into place, Ms. Littleton’s words exactly fitted Terry’s expectations. “Yes! Like caviar.”

Terry, now convinced he held the key to unlocking the Anunnaki's secrets, began his taste-testing and preaching of the Anunnaki evil to anyone who listened. He started a YouTube channel, aptly named "Anunnaki Caviar Aficionados," and soon amassed a following of like-minded conspiracy truthers.

People from around the world tuned in to hear Terry's spot on theories and to watch people drink the truth about the Anunnaki's hidden agenda.

They believed him unquestioningly, having ingested the undeniable evidence of Terry’s logical reasoning. Terry’s followers became obsessed with the Anunnaki wanting to know how they could fight this scourge and abandoned their jobs, relationships, and even personal hygiene in pursuit of the truth.

Meanwhile, Terry purchased a solid gold toilet and watched from his bathroom as his followers danced and venerated him and Jesus, now known as the true Christian saviors. As the number of Terry’s followers grew, so did their fervor and they organized rallies, demanding the government release classified Anunnaki documents and build statues in Terry’s honor.

President Biden announced from the Oval Office, “There’s no such thing as the Anunnaki, and we have no files!”

Chaos ensued. Terry's followers clashed with skeptics, leading to heated debates and even physical altercations, culminating in a failed attempt to seize control of the government. Forced to intervene, spending precious resources to quell the growing unrest, the government tried to convince the Christians they were wrong – to no avail.

Finally, YouTube and all other social media shut down Terry’s channels, replacing them with cute kittens, and Terry’s empire crumbled. His followers, once blind believers, felt duped and betrayed. The Anunnaki, once revered as gods, became the punchline of a cosmic joke.

In the end, Terry stood on his deck overlooking his pool, shaking his fat, sweaty arm. “The Anunnaki will farm you all! May Jesus forgive you all!”

Now, Terry rises again in the words of DJ, the fierce Christian warrior, fighting churches, upholding the TRUE word of Jesus. We will stop the Vatican Assassins and defeat the farmers of meat cattle. Armed with the truth of Jesus Christ, we shall prevail!

AA, born of the same irrational religion, is a worse fraud since it is another Christian cult that denies being a sect. Clouding itself in spirituality bullshit, AA claims it is not even religious, yet somehow, the AA’s Twelve Steps focus on submitting to God in powerlessness, turning one’s will and life over to God, and confessing all sins (“the exact nature of our wrongs.”) For a spiritual program (not religious) AA strangely shares many of the Christian rituals of confession and prayer.

These similarities stem from AA because it is a religion, not a recovery program for alcoholics.

Let me break this down for you, Twelve Stepper. Christians place faith in an implausible belief that a god takes a personal interest in them and has provided the means of salvation through His son, who He sent to be nailed to a cross. You, and the rest of the Twelve Steppers, have bought into the absurdity of Christianity, reborn into a new religious sect (cult), which took the salvation concept and applied it to a substance use disorder.

To believe AA works, one must accept that a God, personally interested in them, provided salvation from alcohol by sacrificing Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob (AA’s Founders) for them to be blessed with the Twelve Step cure to drinking. Never mind the millions of drunks who died of liver failure before Bill and Bob; this doesn’t matter since divining the reason God makes some suffer while blessing others is beyond the drunk’s purview. The Twelve Stepper, just like the Christian, needs only faith to clear his mind of these logical worries and keep his brain empty of resentments through prayer.

Does this make sense to you? Does this seem plausible?

To believe an implausible idea, you must forsake rational thought, and there are consequences for this commitment, with the most damaging being a susceptibility to deception and dishonesty.

Twelve Steppers run around claiming their religion “has freed millions of people from alcoholism” when AA has some of the lowest efficacy rates of treatment protocols. The APA, despite claiming AA Twelve Step Magic shows effectiveness, admits,

One analysis of cognitive-behavioral approaches, for instance, found that 58 percent of patients receiving cognitive-behavioral treatment fared better than those in comparison groups.3

These comparison groups include AA, and despite severe limitations of studying AA in controlled settings, researchers found that:

Attending conventional AA meetings was worse than no treatment or alternative treatment; residential AA-modeled treatments performed no better or worse than alternatives; and several components of AA seemed supported (recovering alcoholics as therapists, peer-led self-help therapy groups, teaching the Twelve-Step process, and doing an honest inventory).

At best, AA might help 5% of the people who attend, but that number is arguably false since it does not account for the rates of natural remission or the inaccuracies of measuring an anonymous program, e.g., lack of verification in self-reported surveys.

Yes, it is true, Twelve Stepper, your booze religion is a failure, and worse yet, you are a liar for claiming otherwise. Just like the Christian fraudulently presenting his religion as a strong possibility, you discuss AA as a practical and successful approach to treating a disorder. Wittingly or unwittingly, you are complicit in that lie.

But it gets worse!

Not only do you lie, but you also fall prey to the effects of believing an implausible idea that coincidentally is similar to what Christians suffer. The dumbness required by the Christian to believe men are women’s spiritual leaders, empowering sexual harassment and abuse, AAs achieve with oldtimers, members with years of sobriety that empowers thirteen stepping the newcomer. Just like the Christians, AAs gaslight victims by telling them they are sick and they are the ones wrong. So coercive are AA members, victims have apologized to their rapists, described best by Stanton Peele in his discussion of Rebecca Fransway’s 12-Step Horror Stories wherein victims of rape are:

told to “look for [their] part” and even to “make amends” to their rapists. There are treatment center counselors who recommend jail for coerced clients who, even though no longer problem drinkers, resist 12-step treatment. There are AA members who die after taking “medical” advice from their sponsors or other AA members. There are others who are driven to suicide by the cruel treatment they received in 12 step groups. And there are untreated emotional needs — both of the victims of AA groups and 12-step treatment centers, and of the aggressors in these groups. One comes away from these stories with the feeling that one has had a glimpse into hell.

Much like the Christian, the Twelve Stepper is a willful illiterate, ignoring all literature but the Grapevine, the Big Book, and other nonsense while accusing the critic of hostility.

Take your forgiveness, and ram it in your ass!

No one needs your chair, your coffee, or your brand of 12-Step Christianity. I cannot think of a worse hell than sitting one minute listening to some douchebag AA evangelist (all of you) preaching the wonders of your booze religion and gratitude for the Christian alcohol God who allows you to defraud sick, hurting people of practical and more effective solutions.

You challenge my ability to respond with your message’s grand, sweeping characterizations that fictionalize Christians with almost the same zeal you accuse me of generalizing. Unwittingly, you reveal the Christian worldview’s nonsensical, positive self-concept that promotes the Christian fraud.

It’s perfectly acceptable for Christians to characterize themselves as “Christians” when the subject is redeeming, but when negative (truthful) referring to “Christians” becomes a stereotype. This bias might be forgivable if not for the glaring hypocrisy that makes apparent Christian deception.

My so-called “generalizations” or articles, many now in a book, all cite facts to show why even the most liberal of Christians perpetrate Christian fraud. Yet Christians, like yourself, continue to characterize your religion unrealistically and ignore evidence to the contrary, which constitutes a deception or complicity I have explained in the past:

There is no plausible evidence for the Christian God or the values imposed by this improbable religion. If there is no evidence, then presenting this religion as truth and, worse yet, embedding it into law and social policy forms a fraud.

Whether wittingly or unwittingly, the presentation of their implausible religion as realistic clouds and deters more practical approaches to law, policy, and many other areas of society. Your claim, “Temptation and sin are a part of the human experience, and everyone struggles with these issues, not just Christians!” reveals the depth of the fraud as you present these concepts as if universal amongst all people.

Christian sin is not universal.

Christians superimpose their morality on ethics, law, and other moral areas, such as pretending they speak about murder when referencing “thou shalt not kill.” Yet the law diversely defines murder by degrees and intent because a single commandment cannot adequately judge the wrongdoing, i.e., first-degree murder, second-degree murder, etc. This is part of the deception because the Christian sin they correlate with crimes may sound the same, but only in the most superficial ways. Christian purity crystalizes the problem.

Most people don’t have a problem with premarital sex (including most Christians), and many people don’t see their choice of sexual partners as fraught with moral implications. Most Christians view same-sex relationships, premarital sex, and method of sex through the lens of sin, and (regardless of their ability to apply these views) they push this morality on everyone: evidenced by their opposition to gay marriage, sex education, etc. Declaring “Temptation and sin are a part of the human experience, and everyone struggles with these issues, not just Christians!” is an outright lie or unknowing complicity in the deception since the claim is false.

Understanding the Christian fraud spirals you deeper into absurdity and lies when claiming, “God has provided a way for believers to overcome temptation and sin through Jesus Christ.” Christianity had thousands of years to prove itself a practical method of making people “positive” moral agents and failed miserably. For example, Christians have done nothing to improve poverty yet pat themselves on the back when they hand out Bibles and tell the poor about the sin of contraception. What has helped solve poverty were social programs, readily seen in the approximate 20% rate’s “rapid decline after 1964 with the launch of major War on Poverty programs” that led to a leveling of about 11 to 15%. (Programs not supported by most Christians today.)

Clearly, the Jesus solution does not work since handing out bibles and telling people to follow Jesus’ path has increased the risk of overpopulation and appears to make Christians oppose social programs. Brilliant! Still, the lie ever deepens because Christians claim, “Well, that’s not the fault of Christianity but the people who fail to follow it correctly.”

This is another lie!

Humans adopt anything that serves their desires or needs but ultimately what benefits them. If Christianity made life better, you would not need to make excuses for the religion. If Christianity solved problems, the reward would be obvious, or at least tangible, and most people would practice it without question. Yet across the globe, devout Christians living in poverty constitute some of the most obstinate of believers, begging the question, “Why do so many people continue believing in Christianity when it doesn’t work?”

Because Christianity is a lie.

Because believers have been defrauded of practical solutions.

Because Christians lie.

Most Christians never experience this literary criticism and ignore face-to-face and other interactions by projecting ignorance on critics: everyone who is not a Christian just doesn’t understand or hasn’t seen the light. “see how the worldview that you derive from the assumption (together with other assumptions — axioms — you add along the way) works out. Then assume that it is no and repeat the process. I’m not going to ask you to adopt any particular set of axioms as “obviously right’’ as I have no idea on earth which set are “right’’ in the sense of absolute truth myself. In fact, I don’t think that any set is “obviously’’ right — quite the contrary.”

Being there is no means of absolutely proving Christianity, one can use this effective acid test to at least find what works best for them, to which Professor Brown states,

This process may prove so uncomfortable you blind your inner eye and return to a state of absolute adherence to one of the old sets (likely the one you were raised with). Or you may find it exhilarating and liberating — for the first time you may find yourself actually understanding your own beliefs; why you believe what you believe, what the consequences of your beliefs are.

If you have not tried to experience and test a contravening belief system’s axioms, you only have part of the story which threatens to trap you in a faith that holds no practical applications. For me, attending Christian schools, joining churches, reading the bible, and giving honest (and even more dishonest effort to this faith), I found the belief’s axioms not only did not work but created many of the problems in mine and others’ lives. This loss of faith occurred across decades, a mistake I urge you not to make to avoid wasting time and instead academically test your Christian and unChristian axioms by reading critics and opposing discussions since, as Professor Brown says,

You may find, for the very first time ever, that consistency of your belief set becomes important to you, rather than practicing the sort of spiritual schizophrenia experienced by many Christians, Moslems, and Jews, for example, when trying to reconcile “irrefutable’’ scientific evidence that the Universe is 13 billion years old or thereabouts and that we all evolved on this planet over roughly a billion years with Genesis.

You may find the opposite works for you, but you cannot simply accept what evangelists and teachers profess since you have only one perspective. Often Christians, instead of reading, obey these proselytizers because they offer god existence arguments that seemingly disprove the nonbelievers. Rarely do they present practical issues not easily circumvented by conceptual arguments.

For me, the battle with faith stalemated a very long time until I actively investigated Christianity beyond just belief in God: a step not possible for someone who reads only the bible and adheres to what other Christians claim. For instance, the bible has been rewritten and translated to the degree that the original meaning is controversial even amongst Christians, to say nothing of the different bibles used in various sects due to translation differences. If the bible is the word of God, then how can this be? Even if inspired by God, how can meanings be so radically different amongst believers? Language and meaning inconsistencies should concern you since this is the text upon which you found your life.

But it gets worse.

The Recursive Ignorance

The recursive ignorance of Christianity may never be a problem as long as you can endure the hypocrisy and contradictions. As I dug deeper into Christianity and, unavoidably, philosophy, axioms meant to prove God instead forced questioning and study of philosophy’s nature, bringing me to the conclusion that philosophy doesn’t exist solely to prove God’s existence or religion’s truth. A fundamental purpose of problem-solving or answer-finding underpins philosophical discourse to provide practical solutions based on plausible logical and theoretical frameworks, e.g., healthcare ethics, law, business ethics, etc. Christianity became implausible when faced with this vital function, not just due to its questionable history, translations, and bizarre beliefs needed to maintain faith, but because it lacked practical application.

But it gets even worse.

Not only did Christianity hold no plausibility, but rooting thoughts in this implausibility allowed irrationality and poor decision-making growth, which increased the risk of dishonesty and other harmful traits. This problem should be obvious to most Christians reading since they likely experienced in others or within themselves the recursive ignorance that relies on nothing but its own proofs and axioms. Recursive ignorance should be obvious to the Christian who finds herself arguing Christ’s perfection since the meaning obfuscates in translations and interpretations. This recursive ignorance should now become obvious as an attempt to fill illiteracy’s emptiness and missing experience when spouting idiomatic adages proclaiming the fictional perfection of Jesus. The recursive ignorance should be obvious to you now in your assumption that critics hold less knowledge than you about Christianity.

Christians are one-eyed people seeing the world with no depth perception, calling those around them “Two-eyed fools.”

You are not alone in your belief; many have presented me with this same argument showing not just the Christian mind’s thickness but also its lack of originality. The comedy of what you say would make me roll about the floor laughing if not for being so tragic...

Yes, there is no choice in placing all your faith in a contradictory text.

Even those raised in Christian homes, the most indoctrinated Christians with less choice than someone recruited, still have a choice. In an age of omnipresent media coverage, the Christian constantly finds faith challenged with countless examples of Christian authoritarianism, evangelical greed, facts that contradict scripture, and most of all, a constant display of hypocrisy.

What you describe as a choiceless circumstance is, in fact, a situation almost begging the average Christian to dismiss faith. Many (some of the most brainwashed) choose to leave Christianity, evidenced (again) by mass media such as books, notable people, and videos.

When faced with such overwhelming, daily exposure to evidence contrary to the Christian worldview, to remain a Christian requires willful ignorance, not faith, and certainly not a lack of choice.

You also explain this lack of choice in a tone suggesting we should empathize with the Christian’s lack of choice. It is funny how Christians always find a way to turn the empathy spotlight on themselves, yet have no problem condemning people lacking any choice.

Since the seventies, the American Psychological Association has recognized homosexuality as a naturally occurring variant of sexual orientation.

Although much research has examined the possible genetic, hormonal, developmental, social and cultural influences on sexual orientation, no findings have emerged that permit scientists to conclude that sexual orientation is determined by any particular factor or factors. Many think that nature and nurture both play complex roles; most people experience little or no sense of choice about their sexual orientation.

Despite mountains of research showing the harmful effects of sexuality suppression and conversion, that “all major national mental health organizations have officially expressed concerns about therapies promoted to modify sexual orientation,” Christians persist with claims that homosexuality is an abnormality, a leftist conspiracy, but mostly a sin, and in any case — a choice.

No one born into poverty has a choice in their circumstance. You can argue the advantages and disadvantages of social insurance, but denying relief to the weakest financial class (the poor) cannot be disputed as a grotesque answer that benefits only the rich by allowing society’s underprivileged members to suffer. Christians, in the majority, support a party that consistently opposes social programs. They argue laziness, poor decision-making, and a plethora of ridiculous excuses insinuating the poor have a choice.

The list goes on and on, clarifying that Christians not only have a choice in what they believe, but they only respect others’ choices when aligned with their worldview.

Saying Christians have no choice forms one of the dumbest arguments against Christian hypocrisy and justifications for their decision-making.

Christian foster care and adoption are all about placing kids in the homes with families most deserving of those government checks and the opportunity to adopt — which, of course, are Christians!

Courageously, as reported by Maya Yang in the Guardian, Christians of the Holston United Methodist Home for Children denied foster care services to a Jewish couple after they signed up for a state-funded foster-parent training class and home-study certification process. The Christian agency was boldly honest, stating “Jewishness” as the reason.

In previous articles, I answered why I refrain from social media, but perhaps the Christian mind is too filled with the spirit to allow my words to penetrate. Perhaps, the Christian only understands vapid adages and idioms. Perhaps Christians, as I suspected all along, do not read. Though all these reasons hold possibility, I still feel compelled to clarify my message and prepared a derivative parable that I hope will allow you to learn.

The Tale of the Custodian & the Dead Christian

While working the late shift at a funeral parlor, a custodian accidentally bumps into a table holding a body covered with a sheet. The sheet slips from the table, exposing a nude man lying on his stomach with a large crucifix protruding from his ass.

Rubbing his chin and frowning, the custodian wondered what purpose this ass-inserted crucifix served. Slowly curiosity moved the custodian toward the anus-probing crucifix until bested by his desire to know, he wrenched the crucifix from the dead man’s ass, which emitted a jazzy ragtime song,

Stuffing the crucifix back into the corpse’s buttocks stifled the song and left the custodian in shock. Had he imagined the singing gluteus maximus? Had this dead rump actually resounded such beautiful lyrics? Not trusting his ears, the custodian again pulled the crucifix from between the lifeless buns.

Having proved the phenomenon, the custodian ran to the phone and called the funeral parlor’s owner, who groggily answered, “Do you know what time it is?”

With much pleading by the custodian, the owner agreed to return to the parlor, and sometime after midnight, he dragged himself into the morgue. “What the hell is so important I had to come down here at this ungodly hour?”

The custodian raced to the table as the owner followed, and raising his hands as if to warn the owner to brace himself, he exclaimed, “Just watch and listen.” He then yanked the crucifix from the deadman’s ass.

Typically, I would not assume the reader is too stupid to divine the meaning of the allegory, but in the case of Christians, where there is no nuance or depth of thought, I feel compelled. Thank you for your sage advice! You churned quite a dissonance tempest giving me much to consider concerning the metaphysical approach to understanding modern issues. I must admit, at first, I thought, “Hey, this is just another Jesus troll comment bombing articles with statements so stupid only a Christian could entertain them.” My next thought formed in the same vein of irritation, “Clearly, this is someone using a fake persona to make outlandish claims only a mind polluted with Christianity could truly grasp, not because it is sensible but because the words strike a chord with the religious bias relentlessly diseasing their critical thought.” Enraged, I assumed, “This troll is only attempting to provide the idiocy opioid the Christian brain addictively seeks, as intellectually challenging as filling the syringe for the addict to shoot.” I am sorry to say that I almost responded by stating, “Your claim of metaphysical solutions only proves my claim that Christians are a fraud for misusing philosophy to create the air of the superior mind while presenting possibilities as plausibilities.”

Studying your words halted my rage and brought insight where there was none. Now, I realize the wrongness of believing plausible notions. Your initial point, though wrong, does invoke a response. Yes, varying degrees of Christian orthodoxy exists, and yes, there are extreme differences between cults and mainstream churches, but the variations would not be possible if not for the malleable nature of Christianity. To be clear, Christianity is a shared set of beliefs open to interpretation, resulting in various sects. Every mainstream church has offshoot organizations and lay organizations representing different views of the religion, such as People of Praise, Knights of Columbus, the KKK, Christian Nationalists, etc.

The term “cult” is ambiguous because any Christian sect or group could be considered a cult by another mainstream church, such as many Christians categorizing Mormons as cultish or nonChristians. For groups of such rareness, cults certainly share a lot in common with mainstream believers, typically voting the same, holding opposition to the same things, like LGBTQ and abortion, and using almost the same Bible. It would seem to the objective observer that cults or fundamentalists appear willing to adhere more strictly or literally to their version of biblical inerrancy than most Christians, which probably explains why these groups are never truly admonished by the mainstream. Christians ban books, boycott movies, and refuse to patronize businesses or serve consumers they perceive as unChristian. Yet, these same Jesus lovers never protest outside churches like Westboro Baptist or any cults.

This inherent bias towards any person calling themselves Christian is unsurprising since mainstream churches share nearly the same history, biblical origin, and doctrines as Evangelicals and cults, making any protest an exercise in hypocrisy.

More than sharing religion, mainstream Christians turn a blind eye to these groups because the “cults” or “fundamentalists” typically emphasize Christian politics, racism, abortion opposition, and many other Christian goals with harshness mainstream churches prefer to avoid. On some level, individual Christians must be aware of this shared religion and values since they take no action against their undesirable brethren. As long as someone claims themself a Christian, there exists some acceptance from all Christians, and as stated in my article,

Anyone armed with a bible, an opinion, and endurance to cherry-pick passages can claim the title Christian and start a church based on their beliefs — no matter how loathed by the majority.

There is not a damn thing any Christian can do to stop their fellow bible thumpers, nor any motivation to do so.

Yes, there is a difference between a lie and a mistake. If based on current facts, misinformation, or lack of understanding, you believe something to be true that is not, this is a mistake. From the time of Aristotle and before, the earth appeared to be the center of the universe based on observation, which, at the time, seemed reasonable. However, as new evidence grew in time that began disproving the geocentric theory of the universe, what did the church do? Declared the theory heresy.

One might argue the Pope was mistaken, but the church continued opposing the heliocentric view despite prior and future observational and mathematical evidence. Anything at odds with the church was and is today considered heresy. The point: if I show you an abundance of facts and figures showing the sun is the center of the solar system, and you refuse to accept this reality, you are lying to yourself. If you force this view on others, you have made them part of the lie, whether they consciously know it or not. Still, we could say these people are victims of the church and unwilling liars: more deluded than deceitful. However, this claim does not make them mistaken; it makes them indoctrinated and sadly does not excuse them from lying.

However one came to believe in a book thousands of years old about a God who decided to make the world in seven days and send his son to be murdered to somehow help us, doesn’t make the belief true, AND, requires extreme mental gymnastic feats of rationalizations and other lies to reconcile the belief with reality.

How Christians came to believe their nonsense, whether by mistake or by indoctrination, doesn’t matter because they are still lying to themselves. When people are confronted with mountains of evidence contrary to their beliefs and continue to assert they possess the truth, this is not a mistake; it is a willful, deceitful act perpetrated against themselves and others when they attempt to rationalize, convince, and especially if they force this view on other groups. You might be inclined to argue they are rationalizing, not lying. This is a meaningless semantical difference since rationalizing attempts to explain something without regard for the truth: a lie or deception.

At this point, Jonathan, your argument takes a turn for the worse because you have not clarified how claiming all Christians are liars is hate speech. Your claim that they are “mistaken” begs the question of how? How are Christians mistaken? Are you saying their crazy belief about Jesus, the Bible, or Christian indoctrination, which all of them found their beliefs on and claim as the truth, is a mistake? Remember, their belief is not just “their truth”; how could it be? If they believe in Christianity, whatever interpretation, they must extend their belief to everyone, or it is arbitrary. I would dare say all of them would argue they are not mistaken, no matter how liberal or conservative, and this makes them liars because if they truly are mistaken or deluded by indoctrination, there is still no way to reconcile Christianity without lying (rationalizing) and denying more reasonable explanations.

The mere fact someone can believe and justify to themselves any preposterous story that a supreme, infinite being caused the universe to exist and takes a personal interest in them is a total rejection of evidence to the contrary, and, here is the vital part Jonathan, to maintain this faith, “firm belief in something for which there is no proof,” means,

Faith is an act of lying.

The lie of faith, which all Christians maintain, becomes crystal clear when you present them with compelling contrary evidence since their refusal to accept or to continue arguing their position means they willfully ignore evidence to maintain their belief, mistake, or indoctrination, which constitutes self-deception: a lie.

You might argue they have the right to believe what they want, which I agree with wholeheartedly, but they are still lying.

There is no way to believe Christianity without lying to others but most of all — to yourself.
