The leaked Supreme Court documents present a suspicious situation perhaps created by the Supreme Court or a GOP insider. The overturning of Roe vs. Wade is no small thing, making the leaked document suspect since this type of breach never occurred prior. Possibly, the Court needed a barometer check of American reaction before committing to such a dramatic action. Republican Justices in the past deferred overturning, opting instead to alter the law, such as in Planned Parenthood v. Casey. A smart move during a time when the country’s attitudes were already shifting toward a more plural society and rolling back a civil right for half the population seemed a bit daring to say the least.
