Now that I’ve blurted out the truth to Wally about Dad, I have to tell Joey. How fair is it that Wally knows but Joey doesn’t? It’s Joey’s dad we’re talking about and I’m not gonna let him hear the news from somebody else once word gets out.
I go to Joey’s bedroom door and knock.
“Who’s there?” Joey asks.
He’s such an idiot, who does he think? Homeland Security? The FBI? SWAT?
“It’s me.”
