From the ether came lies so desirable many who heard never questioned and lived according to those lies, which sentenced them to a life without meaning that hurt countless people, even those who tried and wanted to believe the lies, and the believers only realized the lies they lived just before falling into the void of the forgotten.

Fradkin Middle School resided in Riceburg, a small, growing community about sixty minutes outside Baltimore. Riceberg bordered areas, including Growing Mills, and my address fell in Fradkin’s school zone despite living almost equidistant to Growing Mills Middle School. Areas surrounding Fradkin became more rural, with some communities more affluent than others denoted by the houses’ newness, largeness, and acreage size. Southeast travel on the main thoroughfare, Riceburg Road, led to progressively more urbanized areas approaching Baltimore City. People escaping the city or country filled the areas surrounding Riceburg and Growing Mills, providing Fradkin's diverse student population.
