AA is a decentralized Christian sect, though its hierarchy is arguable, that allows for the formation of many little churches or groups similar to Protestantism's many different Evangelical churches. Decentralization advances the notion that AAs are “many and varied.” Christians use this same argument claiming Christianity is extremely diverse, which is complete nonsense to anyone taking a serious look at the religion. Just because one sect interprets scripture differently than another does not qualify as diversity. Christians pray to the same God, believe in a savior, and use almost the same bible.
