Part 1. Babycakes

There she was, just a walkin’ down the street. She as not singin.’ She was not snappin’ her fingers She was not shufflin’ her feet —

She was going home, carrying a brown grocery bag.

Upon arrival she’d fix six fried egg sandwiches smothered in mayo, a jumbo- sized can of Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup —

She’d open and consume, (more like devour) a sixteen-ounce bag of Double-stuffed Oreos with a quart of Bordeaux Cherry ice cream.

She’d wash it all down with a liter of Coca-Cola.
